The Sardinian's bruschetta

Ingredients for 6 people:

 


12 slices of homemade bread of wheaten flour (type Civraxiu)
a spoonful of extra virgin olive oil of oil-press
1 or 2 cloves of garlic
a pinch of salt
Optional: a ripe tomato

It’s one of the simplest and quick recipes to prepare.

Cut the bread into regular slices not very thick. Heat it on the grill in close contact with the embers, adding a little olive oil on each slice.
Sprinkle a pinch of salt, rub a clove of garlic, and let toasting (don’t burn) the slices of bread with the high heat.
A variant is that with the addition of some ripe tomato on the thick slices of bread, that then it'll become crispy.
It’s great as a snack and as accompaniment to other courses.
